  • The Federal Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Form 2290 (HVUT) is due by January 31st 2022 for any new vehicle that was purchased or first put into service in December 2021. Be sure to have these vehicles reported on a timely basis before the deadline.
  • Form 720 The Quarterly Federal Excise Tax Return has to be reported by the last day of the month following the calendar quarter, the deadline for the 4th quarter of 2021 is January 31st. Do take note that even though you have no sale to report you will still need to file out a Form 720 by selecting the option for a Zero Return (Zero Tax Liability). This is to keep the IRS informed that you do not have any Excise taxes to report during the quarter.
  • IFTA: International Fuel Tax Agreement is due end of this month, January 31st for the Fourth quarter of 2021.
